Such a cool hotel with a lot of historical value. If you want a big room and choose one of the suites. There are great views from some of the rooms we’ve stayed here multiple times and we’ve never been disappointed. Free coffee, and kind bars in the lobby in the morning. The hotel is over off the very quiet and it’s an enjoyable place to stay right in the heart of Manistee.
This was our first time in Manistee and we chose the Ramsdell Inn. It was such a great hotel. It was very quiet and private. We stayed in the suite and loved the extra space and view of the city.
We stayed for 2 nights in the Morton room. The bed was comfy with a down comforter and down pillows. Nice spacious bathroom. Good sized television with cable and free wifi. Perfect location with a pub below and lots to do within waking distance. The staff is friendly and helpful. This place is a treat that we found and will return the next time we are up for fishing.
We only went in to take pictures of this beautiful historic building, but if the rooms are anything like the lobby, we would stay here in a heartbeat. Right downtown, lots to do in walking distance. It's spectacular.

This is an absolutely beautiful Victorian hotel! The lobby is gorgeous and our room was wonderful. We stayed in the Harbor Suite, 3E. The room was large, with multiple seating areas, electric fireplace, TV, fridge, and a very comfortable king bed. I especially liked sitting in the turret overlooking the intersection of River St & Maple St and the Maple St Bridge. Having TJ's Pub down below was so convenient as well. The stairway up to the rooms is also beautifully restored. If you like historic buildings, and comfort, you have to stay here! I've stayed at some very nice hotels all over the world and I would come back to this one in a minute!
Very cool hotel. Great night sleep, beds were so comfortable. Love the extras like the bathrobes and snacks. The cocktails at the pub were great. The location is great. Very walkable to bars and restaurants. We walked to the beach. It was just a wonderful stay.
We stayed in the Jefferson room. Really beautiful building and comfortable room with nice touches. The bed and pillows were comfy. We didn't get to Manistee until about 5:15pm and the front desk had closed, so we had to go to the basement restaurant and wait in line with diners (and our luggage) to get our key. But we loved it overall and will stay there again. We had dinner at the North Channel Brewery 2 blocks away -- highly recommended combo!
